As a temporary worker

Work permit
The Canadian economy attracts foreign workers of different skill levels to solve the labor shortage in many fields of activity. The rules are numerous and sometimes complex, and in the vast majority of cases a work permit is required.

CUSMA, CPTPP and other international agreements
Canada is a signatory to several international conventions, including the Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement (CUSMA, formerly NAFTA) and the Comprehensive and Progressive Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement (CPTPP), which aim to facilitate trade and the movement of people. The three main categories in which you can apply for a work permit are: professionals; intra-company transfers; and investors.
